Qualis Management provides the Council Housing repair service
From Monday 28th September 2020 Qualis Management is delighted to be responsible for providing the day to day housing repair service to tenants renting their homes from Epping Forest District Council.
Following the end of the contract with Mears, Qualis Management, the management services company of Qualis Group Ltd, which is wholly owned by Epping Forest District Council, will carry out day to day repairs, planned maintenance and emergency repair services.
This will be a seamless transition and the only change to tenants will be that they will now call Qualis Management Ltd via the housing team telephone number for any repairs. Tenants will continue to receive the quality service they have previously received and will be dealt with by the same staff. The introduction of a new GPS tracking system will make the service more efficient and effective for tenants as Qualis Management will be able to assign jobs to team members already close by.
The new GPS tracking system will allow the team to be matched to the nearest tenant in need, which will cut down travel time and help reduce waiting times. The system will also be able to give tenants a more accurate estimated arrival time.
The main changes from 28th September will be the contact details and branding on the vehicles, staff uniform and ID badges, which will all show the Qualis logos. The new contact details are:
Councillor Holly Whitbread, Portfolio Holder for Housing and Communities Services at Epping Forest District Council said: “The transfer of our housing repairs and maintenance service to Qualis will improve the quality of the service. Changes are being put in place to help enhance what we offer to our residents. Bringing the service for tenants into the 21st century.
“Being able to assign jobs to staff in the areas they are already close to, by using the GPS system, will help save fuel, general wear and tear on the vans and equipment and therefore be a greener and more effective way of working.”
