Health and Safety Policy Statement
This policy statement is fully supported by the Qualis Group Board and the Executive Team. It applies to all activities of the Group as an employer, service provider, owner, developer and manager of real estate.
We recognise and accept our responsibilities to provide safe and healthy environments and to prevent injury and ill health, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations.
We will ensure that adequate resources are provided for the prevention of accidents, incidents and ill health in the workplace and for the implementation and monitoring of this Policy across the Group and will ensure that health and safety considerations are always given priority.
All employees, service providers, contractors and agency workers have legal responsibilities for their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. All are required to co-operate with the Group and must ensure that their own work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves or others.
We recognise the need for continual improvement. As a newly established organisation, we are still in the set-up phase. We have agreed a robust action plan and we are committed to implement a fit-for-purpose Health and Safety Management System that will allow us to effectively monitor compliance, manage risk and performance.
We are also committed to create a positive health and safety culture by actively promoting health and safety throughout the organisation through effective communication, training and instruction. We are committed to consulting with employees on day-to-day health and safety matters and will provide advice and guidance. We encourage everyone to report hazards, including near misses, without fear of reprisal. Health and Safety performance will be assessed by internal and external auditors. Audit reports will be used to implement and monitor health and safety objectives and actions.
Policies and procedures will be regularly reviewed and amended in response to change, to comply with any new legislation and where possible, support the adoption of best practice.
The Group will ensure that effective procedures for consultation and communication with all employees are established and maintained on all matters that affect health and safety and it will maintain structures for the dissemination of information. This Policy will be communicated to all persons working under the control of the Group and will be made available to interested parties upon request.
